Dog dies during a traffic stop for speeding
A Texas couple, who were pulled over for speeding while rushing their choking dog to an emergency vet clinic, said their pet died after officers held them for 15 minutes. The incident was caught-on-tape.

The cop is right though. As much as I like animals and dogs, humans take priority. Imagine he had an accident with a family of four and killed two infants. Then the dog really wouldnt be worth shit would it. Put it into perspective people. Besides, dogs are like kids and if you can't be a good parent you dont deserve to have them anyway.
